Although I mostly talk about my two novels from Bundoran Press, I can never forget the people who published my first novel back in 1992. A Circle of Birds was the winner of the 3-day Novel Writing contest and was published by Anvil Press. Brian Kaufman was and still is the publisher and I still remember how carefully he guided my manuscript from its rough first draft to final form. We lost touch over the years due to my frequently changing addresses and circumstances but we recently reconnected through Facebook. This week, a royalty statement and a small cheque arrived in the mail, reflecting the sales of my book over the years. Kudos to Brain and the folks at Anvil for their diligence and integrity.
